Sr. Technical Marketing Engineer

Full Time | Menlo Park, CA

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing technical marketing activities. As a member of the product team you will work closely with product management, sales engineering, development engineering, and product marketing to plan and deliver technical marketing initiatives to accomplish technical sales enablement, enable customer knowledge, drive product technology direction, and perform competitive analysis.   • Enabling technical sales through the creation of presentations, tools, content, collateral, and information used by sales, partners, and customers
  • Working directly with customers to ensure success during early stage product evaluation, testing, trials, and deployments in labs, proof of concept environments and product deployments
  • Partnering with product management to assist in the creation of thorough user tutorials and agile development technical documents to drive successful product development
  • Developing technical slides, technical industry white papers, technical vertical white papers, partner solution guides, and partner technical guides
  • Presenting to technical leaders at customers executive briefings, speaking at industry events, and demonstration product in front of large and small audiences
  • Defining and producing technical components of global launches, announcements, and marketing campaigns
  • Producing corporate technical briefing presentations and generating technical presentations for product launches
  • Writing, editing and publishing content such as technical eBooks, website technical content, and external technical blog articles
  • Creating technical webinar content
  • Performing competitive analysis and differentiation
  • Working with the product management and engineering groups on technical sales and partner technical enablement content
  • Leading the creation of sales engineering presentations, technical decision-maker slide decks, sales engineering content, partner engineering content and partner engineering presentations
  • Generating technical solution briefs, technical white papers, short technical vignettes, and sales funnel targeted technical content
  • Enabling channel partners with technical presentations, technical collateral, and digital demand generation content (email copy, web copy, landing page copy)
  • Executing customer proof of concept guidelines and success criteria along side sales engineers
  • Reviewing and assisting sales engineering in responses to RFPs and RFIs


  • 5 to 7 years of technical marketing experience in high tech
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, especially in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • “Roll up sleeves and do what it takes” attitude
  • Strong team player not afraid to present new, creative ideas
